Our Beliefs
"One Lord, one faith, one baptism..." Ephesians 4:5
GOD We believe that there is only one true and living GOD. GOD reveals Himself in three distinct personalities. GOD is eternally Father, Son and Holy Spirit, and as such is alone worthy of all praise, worship, glory and honor. GOD indeed is our Creator, Redeemer and Sanctifier, and Ruler of heaven and earth.
Jesus Christ We believe Jesus Christ is the eternally begotten Son of GOD and that Jesus of Nazareth was fully human yet fully divine, the expressed image of GOD sent to earth to save us. We believe in His virgin birth, sinless life, death on the cross, bodily resurrection, ascension back to the Father, eternal intercession for the saints, and His bodily and personal return in power and glory.
The Holy Spirit We believe in the complete divinity and person of the Holy Spirit within the Unity of the Godhead. The Spirit of GOD gives us new life as believers, seals us in our salvation, indwells us with GOD's presence, tutors us in holiness, and empowers us to be witnesses of the saving power of Jesus Christ.
The Bible We believe the Bible is the inerrant, errorless Word of GOD. It is perfect, and while written by inspired individuals, it is authored by GOD. It is GOD's revelation concerning His plan for humanity and is the authority for all teaching and doctrine.
Humanity We believe humanity was created in the image of GOD and created to worship the LORD in complete fellowship. Because of humanity's sin in Adam, all of humanity is condemned. Our only hope for salvation and fellowship with GOD is found in our accepting the finished work of Jesus Christ.
Salvation We believe we are saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. We cannot be saved by works. Jesus is our Great Reconciler, reconnecting us back to the Father through His great love shown toward us and our confessing Him as Lord; this is the Good News of the Gospel!
The Church We believe that the Church is not an organization but an organism, the living Body of Christ. It is a group of called out and baptized believers who are connected by faith, fellowship and belief in the Gospel. There are two ordinances the Lord gives His Church; baptism by immersion and the celebration of the Lord's Supper through the breaking of bread and the sharing of the fruit of the vine.
